EPSA at a Glance

Alumni Association of the Department of Pharmacy, University of Asia Pacific was formed for the 1st time in the year 2011 under the direct guidance and patronage of our beloved Leader of the Pharmacy Profession Mr. Md. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, President, Bangladesh Pharmaceutical Society (BPS).

The idea was first articulated by Mr. Muhammad Mahbubul Haq, a graduate of 2003, who became Secretary, Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh. Other stalwarts who contributed to the establishment of the Association were Shiba Prashad Bhowmik, Milan Mahboob, Irin Dewan, Mohammad Shahriar, Mohammad Shamsul Alam, Abu Md. Faisal Khan, Razib Kumar Kar and MD. Aminul Haque. The first President and Secretary General of the Association were Mr. Muhammad Mahbubul Haq and Mohammad Shahriar.

In 2011, a few ex-students of UAP arranged a reunion program, after that they realized the necessity of an alumni association. In the following year, the Association was formed as a social club of former students of the University with the aim of promoting the interests of the University and its students. In 2012, the Association was registered under the Societies Registration Act-1860, Registration No: S-11430 by Register of Joint Stock Companies, Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of the people's Republic of Bangladesh.

Under the dynamic leadership of the Executive Committee of EPSA led by its president Mr. Muhammad Mahbubul Haq and General Secretary Mohammad Shahriar, since 2012 EPSA came to flashlight through arranging seminars, different cultural festivals and Scholarship programs. It also arranges get-together Programs of former students including reunion and family day to cherish the memory of golden days in the University.
